    Climate-related tort liability bar comes into force

    The amendment concerns tort liability. Section 274 says Part 8 applies regardless of whether other legislation applied, could have applied, was complied with or led to enforcement action. Businesses involved in climate-related litigation should review sections 271 to 274 and the transitional rules in Schedule 1AA closely.
