Incorporated Association Application

WHAT’S IT FOR?

An Incorporated Association structure can be used by any organisation driven by a recreational, cultural or charitable purpose. It is a way of structuring not-for-profits in a way that runs a little like a company. Setting up your venture as an IA is a great way to make a difference, and it also helps to make sure your members are protected with the limited liability a normal company offers.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

We’ll submit an application to set up your not-for-profit organisation as an incorporated association.

This package includes:

• Initial consultation with a Sprintlaw lawyer
• Providing a template constitution including a charitable purpose for your organisation
• Applying to register 1 incorporated association with the relevant government body in your state or territory
• Electronic records of all key registration documents (if your application is successful)
• Optional: Applying for ABN registration of 1 business

This package does not include bespoke drafting to your Constitution or further assistance if your application is unsuccessful or has any issues. We cannot guarantee the success of your application and if you need further assistance beyond this scope, we will need to set up a new project.

Please note that if your incorporated association is in Queensland, this package only includes Sprintlaw preparing the application and your Constitution for you. Once we have prepared these, you will need to lodge the application and pay the registration fee yourself. We will provide you with instructions on how to do this.
